I hope everyone had a great Holiday with their friends and family! I can’t believe it’s already the day after Christmas…..where did the Holiday season go?! I have today off from work and really took this time to relax and organize myself after a crazy few days. I live for slow cozy mornings and that’s exactly what I did today!
I have to admit I’ve been a bit MIA on my blog these past couple of weeks. It wasn’t my intention and I had some great holiday inspired blog posts I wanted to share. Unfortunately, I got pretty sick over the past two weeks and needed that time to focus on my health, stay on top of my full-time job and prep for Christmas. I hate that my blog is the first thing to go when I need to prioritize my life, but that doesn’t mean it will always be this way in the future. I’m hoping to do a lot more with my blog in 2018 and can’t wait !
I spent Christmas with my family at my parents house and it was wonderful to be back in the house I grew up. My family has a Christmas Eve tradition where we open one gift and it’s always new pj’s. My brother-in-law and Alex have joined us sisters over the years and they even get their matching pj’s too! It’s something I look forward to each year.
For the first time in a LONG time we had a white Christmas! I thought it wasn’t going to happen because on Saturday, the New England area had a huge rain / ice storm and it washed away what snow was left. Well…. like a Christmas miracle, it started to snow perfectly on Christmas Eve and continued into Christmas morning. The snow fell perfectly as my family and I opened our gifts in the morning. I was in a Christmas snow globe and loved every moment of it! The rest of the day was great time catching up with family members and celebrating excited moments to come.
Side note, these pictures of me outside isn’t my parent’s house but part of our wedding venue! Two weekends ago, my family and Alex’s family visited our venue and the surrounding area. We’re getting married at Valley View Farm near the Northhampton, MA area. It’s a beautiful space and we are counting the days until the big day!
The Holiday season is still not done yet…. we have New Years in a few days and I’m so excited for 2018 and what the new year brings! I hope everyone enjoys the rest of 2017 with their loved ones.
xx
