The Ld Round Up is back! I hope everyone’s having a relaxing weekend. I for one am happy that I have some time off. It been exhausting these past few days. My approach to ‘”slow living” has been in full force between yesterday and today. I’ve been sleeping in, reading, cooking healthy meals and listening to podcasts …. just all of my favorite things to do that get me back to my normal self. Anyways….
Let’s get into this week’s finds:
I’ve mentioned Bad On Paper podcast before, but I want to share their latest episode on their politics series – episode 4 with Alyssa Mastromonaco (former Obama Deputy in Chief of Staff). This episode was so good and informative! They talk about what a caucus actually is and the purpose of them. Alyssa also mentions how important and necessary it is to be involved in your local politics.
Jack Garratt came out with a new song called Time and it’s such a good jam to dance to.
As most of you know I’m an introvert at heart, so I love that this article gives great tips on how to build your network as an introvert.
Sheerluxe is an online lifestyle magazine based in the UK and they have a behind the scenes video series that shows you the day to day work that involved running a successful magazine. I find it so enjoyable to watch what it’s like working there.
I recently came across a Boston Scandinavian furniture store and I want everything! Their prices are definitely expensive, so they are really just nice to look at :). They do have a really cool design blog – check it out!
A few months ago, I went off the pill and I’ve become way more in-tune with my cycle – and I feel more in control of my body. I plan to write a full blog post about my feelings, but I’m waiting until I’ve been off of a it for a year. However, I came across this article on The Good Trade, that articulates similar experiences being off of the pill for 6 months. It’s a good read!
