We made it to Friday, phew! I’ve felt a bit off this week with Jan 1 being in the middle of week. I’m all out of sorts with what day it is and quite honestly, I’m still feeling the hangover from the holidays. So let’s just say I’ve very happy it’s Friday and am excited to have a normal weekend! We’ll be running errands (possible getting new glasses?!) organizing my closet, and taking pictures…. so the perfect weekend in my eyes.
I will say during my time off, I found a lot great stuff so let’s dig into this round up:
The Good Trade wrote an article on the history of turtlenecks. When I saw the title, I immediately clicked. If I could, I’d wear a turtleneck everyday during autumn/winter. It was so interesting to read where this style of garment came from. I hope to look into other styles and their history more often!
The Everygirl wrote an article on Jana Blakenship, the founder of Captain Blakenship, and her take on prioritizing ethical beauty ingredients. Such a good read on her perspective and how she started the business.
Within the last week, I came across this new artist, Tyler Sjöström. I’ve been really loving his modern but folk like voice and style. He reminds me of a mix between Bon Iver & Mumford & Sons. I haven’t listened to this style of music in a while and forgot how much I love it. This song is one of my favorites.
In light of everyone finally waking up to climate change (at least I hope), more and more press has come out around how we can be doing better with our behaviors towards the environment. This article is a good starting point if you are feeling overwhelmed.
After putting off healthy eating for a bit during the holidays, I’m excited and craving to get back into it. I recently came across this morning juice from The Fox & She and it sounds amazingly fresh. It’s suppose to help with digestion, inflammation, gut, blood pressure and so much more!
That’s all I have for this week… until next time!
