The LD Round Up is finally back! I took a few weeks off from the blog because, well, there’s a lot happening in the world! The anxiety from the election really wiped me out and while I’m so excited for Joe Biden to become President and Kamala Harris to become, ahem, Madam Vice President, we still have a lot of work to do. However, that doesn’t mean Alex and I didn’t celebrate with happy tears and lots of champagne on that glorious Saturday.
Unfortunately, COVID rates are out of control right now, which adds to the already anxious time. I knew I needed a little break to rest, watch some cheesy Christmas movies and read before coming back to produce anything for the blog. I’m energized to be back!
So I’m really excited to get back into creating videos, writing and taking some photos. I’ll be capturing a lot of moments this weekend and starting to decorate for the holidays. Anyways…….
Let’s get into this:
As someone who grew thinking I needed to be productive from the moment I woke up until I went to bed, this article, when are we the most productive, is really insightful.
My morning routine sets the tone for the day and sometimes I like to workout but on days where I’m not feeling it, I like to try these small morning rituals.

A lovely read about whether or not you should live abroad, specifically about living in France.
Even though Biden + Harris have won, don’t expect Trumpism to go away anytime soon, unfortunately.
I just finished a podcast series produced by IDEO called Food by Design. It’s all about how our food system is not broken, in fact, it was designed that way. In each episode, they go into deeper topics around climate change, food waste, Indigenous roots, BIPOC workers and so much more. I highly recommend it!

If you’re in need of some visual inspiration, Sézane has a lovely blog filled with images that represent being stuck at home in quarantine.
Take a look at this cozy Norwegian winter cabin. What I would do if I could escape there!
American suburbs may start to look more like European cities and COVID-19 may have something to do with the progress of it. If that’s the case, I’m all for it!
Enjoy the weekend.
