What an emotional week!
Obviously, I’m feeling all kinds of emotions after the historic Inauguration took place on Wednesday. I think a lot of people took a collective deep breath after the day was over (without any harm). I shed lots of happy tears when I saw Madam Vice President, Kamala Harris, get sworn in. And for the first time in a long time, I felt hopeful for this country.
It was also a busy week too. I tried to catch up on things I’ve been putting off now that I have a little more space in my brain. I can focus on things other than the President trying to actively harm the country. Remember that?!
Anyways! This weekend has been lazy and I needed it. I’ve gone on long walks, cooked comforting meals and binged watch TV. Now, it’s time to clean up the apartment and curl up with a good book. In the meantime, let’s get into this past week’s finds for my LD Round Up:
I often struggle with self-worth and needing to seem “perfect” because that’s how society and my upbringing wanted me to think. I’ve gotten better with these thoughts, but I still need to actively work on it. I resonated so much with this article because I’ll never have my shit together and it’s OK to show that.
