My love for Sézane grows more and more with every new collection they launch. I know I gushed about them in my latest round up but for this post, I want to take about this Sézane jumper I recently bought. I even broke my no shop months for this one!
One of the many reasons why I love this brand is how versatile and multifaceted their pieces are. You can wear most of their clothing in many different ways and this jumper does just that. You can wear the jumper with the buttons in the back, with the buttons in front and unbuttoned, or as a classic cardigan. The options are endless! Not to mention, the fabric is incredibly soft detailed with pretty mother of pearls. The jumper was produce in Italy and made of 37% super kid mohair, 37% alpaca and 26% polyamide. While there isn’t as much transparency on this specific jumper, Sézane is committed to a better tomorrow.
Within the last three years, they’ve completely changed their way of producing clothing to become more sustainable. They’ve built a Sustainability Program of both philanthropic and sustainable commitments. The information about the program is broken down in to three main sections, what they have already accomplished, their commitment for the next 12 months and Sézane’s future: a permanent work in progress.
When reading their sustainability report, a couple of things stood out to me. They currently have a charity boutique and it’s sole purpose is to collect, recycle and receive donations. At the store, they resell leftover pieces from their photos shoots, fittings and customer items that are donated. And within the next 12 months, they’ll be creating a new collection that’s 100% eco-friendly and made right at the heart of their office. I’m so excited for what’s to come and their continued good work!
xx
