October: Fall is in full swing and the leaves start to change. While it’s been a late start for Fall in New England (thanks global warming….), I’m in Ireland for the first two weeks of October and it’s full on sweater weather over here. I’m loving every second of it and am hoping for 60 degree weather in Massachusetts when I get back.
I’m fully embracing burnt orange and muted earthy tones this month. When I thought of October growing up, I immediately thought of pumpkin patches and the beautiful golden colors the trees turn in to. So now as an adult, I love to embrace those colors in my wardrobe, apartment decor and makeup. I’m not one for trends (and am trying to move away from it), however, I’ve been loving the Fall look of oversize vintage tweed blazers. The biggest score on this trend is you can find great vintage blazers at thrift shops or online. If you are in a rut with conscious shopping and want to buy a trendy outfit, always see if you can do it second hand since most trends are repeats from the past decades. I found these great finds on Etsy here, here and here. I also found this really unique retro one here!
In other news, something pretty big happened in my life within the last few days. Check out my Instagram to see what it is and I promise I’ll talk more about it on the blog soon!
Enjoy Fall and October everyone.
