November: The month that kicks the Holiday season off and a month that will become very special to me for years to come (hint). It’s finally starting to cool down here in New England and I couldn’t be happier. There’s something about crisp cool air that allows me to be more productive and cozy all at the same time. So far this month has been pretty busy with wedding planning, visits with family and friends and organizing my life. There’s of course more to come with Thanksgiving right around the corner.
I’m starting to think of how I’d like to be more conscious and thoughtful as the holidays approach. As always, Thanksgiving is a holiday to be thankful but instead of glossing over that thought right before I dig into food, I want to truly comprehend how lucky I am. With everything going on in this world, it’s important to be grateful for what you have and then fight for those who need the help.
I’ve recently started listening to these two podcasts: Call Your Girlfriend and The High Low during my commute to work or when I need a switch from music while doing my work. Both of these podcasts are hosted by women who are besties and catch up with each other to discuss the latest news, literature and pop culture that’s happened each week. Each podcasts really touch upon women in the modern world and women’s overall rights. It’s the best way I keep informed on what’s happening in the world AND I love listening to the discussions and advice each podcast gives. I highly recommend listening if your in the mood to change up your commute playlist.
I hope everyone enjoys the holiday season and really takes time to appreciate what they have.
