January: Hello 2020! With a new year, brings new perspectives and a fresh start. Although I’m not one for resolutions, I do enjoy a clean and new beginning and the feeling that comes with it after a long 2019. We’ll be taking our Christmas decorations down over the next couple of days and I’m so ready for it – it was starting to feel crowded. I’m of course keeping up the winter decorations (greenery, wood logs, lots of candles etc.) because that’s the best part of a cozy winter look. For this month, I’m all about hibernation and as an introvert at heart, I’m leaping with joy! We don’t have a lot of social plans which will be great to focus on myself.
I’m also looking forward to:
making homemade meals (especially my tomato soup on a snowy day)
organizing our refrigerator and streamlining our grocery shopping for a more sustainable approach. If I could have my fridge look like this, I’d be so happy
READING – my goal is to read ~ 20 books this year
planning out our calendar for the year, so we don’t miss any important dates
budgeting my personal finances so I can make smarter decision and buy new items I actually need (I have gotten better with this)
cleaning and sorting out all areas within the apartment. I technically already started this and cleaned out my closet. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. The fridge and cabinets are next this weekend!
listening to my favorite Lo-Fi Beats playlist and getting shit done. I’ve been in a holiday funk far too long
having slow mornings with hot lemon water as I read my coffee table books
taking walks along the beach. It’s one of my favorite things to do. The beach is empty and so peaceful
xx
