As I’m spending way more time in the kitchen, I’m starting to notice there’s a lot of areas I want to change. My ideal situation is to have the best functional + aesthetic kitchen organization to improve my overall cooking experience. Many of you know we’re currently renting, so we can’t change anything with our kitchen design (it desperately needs a face lift!). But the good thing is I can still add our personality + style in the kitchen with decor and unique supplies.
Which means over the next 6 months or so, I’ll be tackling the kitchen area! I’ll be working on this space in addition to some other parts of the apartment too. I wish this could be a faster process but from what I’ve learned when managing a budget, it’s that good things take time. So I’m hoping to add new pieces here and there – and eventually, the kitchen area will feel better.
Let’s get into it these organization supplies!
YAMAZAKI
Yamazaki is a Japanese home goods store that’s been around for over 100 years. Since 2014, they’ve opened an office in Brooklyn and after 2016, they opened an EU branch in Germany. With a focus on organization, storage and space-saving, all oft their products are designed to be as smart and simple as possible.
HELEN MILAN
Helen Milan is an online shop that’s been curated for beautiful, functional and earth-friendly goods. I love that this shop is run by a husband + wife duo located on the south shore, ma (hi, home!). Their pieces are perfect for the zero-waste advocate looking to incorporate this lifestyle into their home and on the go – especially in the kitchen.
FOOD 52
Food 52 started out as a community for like-minded cooks and now, the company has a an online shop of curated kitchen and home goods. They still have their community (of now 13 million!) to engage and share thousands of recipes with. They are based out of NYC and they opened their online shop in 2013.
LE PARFAIT
Le Parfait is an iconic Fresh glass jars + terrines brand. You’ve probably seen this type of storage when you were younger (maybe your mom or grandma used them). Their jars are known for preserving soups, fruits, pickles and vegetables. While this brand has been around for a while, I love their clean look. They are the perfect example of something that’s functional + aesthetically pleasing.
