As of late, I’ve had an itch for a home decor update. I’m constantly searching Pinterest, Instagram and Bloglovin’ for ideas and inspiration. Our apartment could use some updates that we’ve been putting off because of $, so I’m trying cheaper ways to decorate. As I start that process , I’ll write about it too. In the meantime, I want to share home tours I’ve been loving to keep me inspired. Let’s take a look:
Cozy Scottish Home
Simple + a mix of old and new
Source: Decor8
I absolutely love the combination of an old vintage feel with modern pieces in this house. That’s my goal with the home I live it. I constantly battle the love for modern pieces and a vintage farmhouse lived in look. I never thought you could combine the two until I started to see the Scandinavian style and home tours like this. Take a look and fall in love with this calming home.
California Dream Apartment
Effortlessly curated

I’ve been a big fan of Chrissy McDonald of Harlow & James for a while now. I love the small pieces she decorates with to make her home feel warm and cozy. As someone who still rents, it’s nice to get inspiration from her home and blog because she still rents too. She’s made the space her own and it motivates me to do the same and not just “wait” until we buy a home. Check out her home tour and get lost in the dreamy space.
Modern Cottage
Neutral, Modern + Rustic
Source: Laine & Layne
I came across Laine & Layne while endlessly scrolling through Instagram (you know those nights) and immediately felt drawn to their neutral look. It’s a common theme here but any home that mixes a couple of styles, has a page in my book. Their style is predominately farmhouse but with modern and industrial touches to update the home. A married couple runs the website and they recently shared they’re building their forever home as their next project. I’m really excited to follow along their journey with it!
Coastal Danish Home
Airy +Natural
Source: My Scandinavian Home
This home tour by My Scandinavian Home gives me all of the feels! I love living near the water and hope to stay by the coast when we eventually buy. It’s my dream to include a coastal feel to our home without it being too vacation beachy. The white washed wood floors is just the right touch and grounds the home. It’s all just absolutely breathtaking!
Carriage Studio
Crafted + decorated to perfection
Source: The Carriage Studio
Okay, so I have to admit this last place I’m sharing isn’t technically a home, it’s a studio that lifestyle photographer, Gillian Stevens, designed for creatives to shoot photographs or films in. Regardless, she did an amazing job and I get all of the right inspiration for apartment living with it being a smaller space. The wooden pieces and handmade ceramics make the space feel so thought out – but in an organic way. It’s oh so wonderful and I would like every piece of their furniture please. Check out her space!
