As I’ve gotten older and started to solidify my style, I’ve realized my everyday outfit is jeans and a t-shirt. It’s comfortable and practical for my day to day activities and keeps things simple. Last weekend, I wondered through Beacon Hill since it’s even more precious around this time of the year and this outfit was perfect for it.
For the last year or so, I’ve been in the search of a great pair of jeans that’s worth investing in and made more sustainably. I looked at Reformation, Amour Vert and vintage jeans from Etsy. Unfortunately, I was having trouble finding the right size, fit and style I was specifically looking for. This doesn’t mean they aren’t good options because they are great! I heard on a podcast, Conscious Chatter, that Levi’s has a Waterless Collection for their jeans, so I did some digging.
These jeans are manufactured with unique techniques to save more water and recycle water throughout the process. Levi’s has reduced up to 96% of the water that’s typically used in the denim finishing process. Click here to learn more about this initiative. There’s more work for Levi’s to do, but it’s nice to see such a large company in this industry moving in the right direction.

Everlane is a sustainable retailer that is bringing a lot of attention to their brand in a really good way. I love their basics and transparency on the materials and factories they work with. Their 100% Human Collection caught my eye when I learned that $5 of every 100% Human product is donated to the ACLU. Everlane believes in protecting human rights and that everyone is created equal because we are more the same than we are different.

Hello! May I kindly ask what size Levi’s you own? I’m looking to buy a pair of Everland Authentic Stretch High Rise and I am deciding between a 25 and a 26. I have a pair from Levi now (Mid Rise Shaping Skinny) that is a size 25. Appreciate your help!

I’d be happy to share! My Levi’s are a 26, although I wish I bought them in a size 25 instead. They fit great right after drying, but they do loosen easily throughout the day while wearing them.It definitely has to do with fabric of the jeans. I actually have another blog post on Everlane’s Authentic Stretch High Rise Skinny jeans! I got them in a size 26 (because of how skinny they are) and love the size and fit of them. They stay true to shape over time and I get a lot of wears before I wash them. I hope this helps!
