I’m back with another review and for this time around, I’ll be talking about the Everlane Day Heel.
I’ve had my eyes on this heel for a while now and after taking inventory of my closet, I knew these heels were going to be my next purchase. I wanted a heel that would be easy to walk in and not too flimsy or delicate. These heels are the perfect match to my style. I don’t dress overly feminine so when I want to spruce up an outfit, I gravitate towards these heels.
I got my usual size (7.5) and while the reviews say to size up a half size, I’m glad I chose what I did. However, I want to note the shoes will take time to break in. After 5 wears or so, the shoes began to feel very comfortable to walk in and to have on throughout the entire day. At first, I was disappointed with the pain the shoes gave me in the toes area but after a few wears, I could feel the shoes molding to my feet.
The reason why these shoes will take time to break in is because their made of 100% Italian leather. It’s the softest leather Everlane has used when making shoes. The day heels are produced in Montopoli in Val D’Arno, Italy in their heel factory. Within in the factory, there are 32 employees who are specialized in hand-crafting shoes, along with 40 years of honored technique. The factory is currently owned by two brothers who keep a tight ship at their factory, winning them a score of 91 on Everlane’s compliance audit. To learn more about their factory, click here.
Overall, I love the heels and would definitely recommend them. I was apprehensive at first when I experienced pain but they are now a coveted favorite. I got the heels in Pale Rose just in time for the warmer months. Although, there are many colors to choose from, including a bold red, nude suede, metallic bronze and quite a few more!
