Over the past few months, I created an “is it worth it” check list to help me when I feel the urge to purchase something:
- Will I use it every day or most days throughout the week?
- Do I already own something similar that has the same function?
- Will I have this for years? Basically, is this a trend or a staple….
Those three questions help me rethink my purchases when I see one of my favorite brands have a sale or drop a new style for the season. It’s been REALLY hard and I won’t lie and say I haven’t bought something I shouldn’t……but ever since I’ve created this check list, it’s saved me from feeling regret on a lot of purchases.
So when it came this Tote Bag, it passed my 3 question test. And bonus, it’s from a vegan brand that represents its values on not hurting animals and caring for the welfare of the planet… Mat(t)erials & Nature: Matt & Nat.
This bag is amazing on space. I wanted a bag that could support a laptop and have compartments to store random junk that ends up in my bag. This tote completely does that and is deceivingly deeper than I expected, which is great. The lining is made of 100% recycled plastic bottles. And because producing vegan leather isn’t the greatest for the environment (more on that later), they are always sourcing sustainable materials in their designs, such as recycled nylons, cork and rubber. Check out their page to learn more.
I’ve been using this bag for a few weeks now and am so happy with it. I’ll be using it for years to come.
xx
