I can’t believe but my bachelorette weekend has went and gone! It’s the type of weekend that get’s so built up, so it’s crazy to believe it’s already in the past for me. Anyways… it was a great weekend and many memories were made… so let’s get into it! We stayed the weekend at an adorable AirBnB in Charlotte, VT. The town is is right outside of Burlington, which is where I went to school so it was great to be back. We started our Friday activities with a private yoga class AND we all needed it after sitting in the car for a long drive. We can laugh at it now, but our yoga instructor said she was going to go light and fun with us – but she immediately started with an intense abs workout and I think we all nearly panicked. Although some parts of the class were hard (and I definitely was sweating), we all felt so great and relaxed. It was definitely a perfect start to the weekend.
The first night of the weekend pretty low key and we stayed at the house for dinner and games. The sunset was beautiful and was not to be missed. The games we played were honestly my favorite parts of the weekend – one game included my bridesmaids writing down their favorite memory and I had to guess who wrote it. This is such a fun game to reminisce the laughable times a bride has had with her best friends and family – I highly recommend it! I also loved that my sister asked Alex a set of questions and then I had to answer the same questions and see if we got the same answers. I will say we did pretty good!
The next day we started off the morning with a nice short hike up Mt. Philo. It’s a classic starters hike for anyone visiting the area for their first time. It’s not that long of a hike but you still feel like you get a decent workout in. Plus the views at the top are beautiful. I will say we absolutely LUCKED out with weather this weekend. Although it was a bit hot at times, it was so sunny and the nights were really nice.
Up next (& the best part) were the winery tours! We visited Charlotte Village Winery and Shelburne Vineyards. I’ve been to Shelburne many times, so I was excited to try Charlotte Village Winery. This winery had more fruit based wines and they did them REAL well. The blueberry was my all time favorite – I definitely want to come back especially during the Fall time. Shelburne Vineyards was an amazing time because we had our own personal wine tasting first out by the vines and then upstairs in their loft seating. It was a lot of fun and full on photo shoot at the winery totally happened 🙂
I cannot thank my bridesmaids enough for an amazing weekend! It’s another reminder of how lucky I am to have such wonderful friends and family. They are going to make our special day that much better. We are three months to go…. let the countdown begin!
xx
