How’s everyone doing? I’m trying to keep myself busy as much as I can (when I have energy that is). And since I’m spending a lot more time at my home desk, I decided to give this area a mood board revamp!
You know I’m a big fan of mood boards since I create them every month on the blog. I love to digitally set the tone for each new month. I even set the new image as my desktop background to get me in the right mindset. However, I’ve been wanting a creative mood board of prints + images for the area above my desk at home too. So a few months ago, I started to add images and prints I love. Not only does it look pretty and add depth to an area (my desk is in our living room), but it’s helpful to look at when I need a screen break and time to think.
So over the past few days, I finally had the motivation to add more images and start creating a thoughtful space. It’s definitely a work in progress. I eventually want to add images + textures all along the wall where my desk sits against. It’s going to look magical! I also want to mention that I’m lucky I can easily do this to our wall. We are renting, so we don’t have too much guilt putting tape on already scratched walls 🙂
This was surprisingly a relaxing activity and it didn’t involve a screen, which is a bonus. I was totally in the zone with my Everyday Playlist, and a nice cup of tea (or wine)!
“Presence is one area
of your life will allow you
to become present in all
areas of your life.”

You can easily to do this too:
1.
Use leftover magazines, brand books, newspapers and cut out any images, words, phrases or graphics you love or get inspired by.
2.
Start to gravitate towards similar colors to create a cohesive tone.
3.
Once everything is cut out, visualize where you want your pieces to live on the wall. Hint: sometimes clumping images and words together first help spark the momentum.
4.
Honestly, have fun with. There’s no wrong way to do it. Move things around, take things off you don’t like anymore and it will all come together.
Even though this activity is super simple, it’s a new idea if you’ve run out of ways to keep yourself (or the kids) busy and engaged. I hope you turn your home office or home desk into an area that you love. Get creative!
xx
