My boyfriend, Alex and I moved into our current apartment about 6 months ago and are loving it. The first apartment we lived in together was a unique situation- we had our own floor and bathroom but shared a kitchen with two roommates. So once we moved into our current apartment, we were SO happy to have our own space. We have a lot freedom to decorate our apartment, so we’ve been slowly pulling it all together and finding our combined styles within our space.
For the most part, we have our major furniture in place and now we need to add in the details and small touches. The next project I want to work on is creating a gallery wall…classic. As basic as it is, I do love a random set of pictures and frames pulled together in one space.
Once I finalized which wall I want to create the gallery on, I took a picture of the space to help me visualize the final look. I used Photoshop to map out where I want to place the frames and approximately the sizes of the frames I’ll use. I’m such a visual person, so this helped me out a lot. If you are too, I highly recommend doing this.
I’m still narrowing down the pictures I want to go in the frames… I’m thinking a combination of pictures Alex and I have taken, artwork and some black & white photos. Here’s more of where I’m pulling inspiration from.
I’ll keep you posted as I put it all together and any other updates we have to the apartment!
