Secondhand shopping has become one of my favorite ways to add new clothing into my wardrobe.
After each season, I like to do a mini audit (if you will) on my spending habits. So when looking at my purchases for both spring + summer, I realized the majority of my clothes came from secondhand shops. Good on me because it’s been one of my goals this year! [insert pat on the back]
Not only is secondhand shopping a lot better for the planet, it’s great for your wallet too. One of my biggest gripes with sustainable shopping is it’s expensive (and for a good reason). Get new clothes that’s cost effective + good for the environment? Win, win. Which is why I’m sharing five vintage + secondhand online shops to check out.
Let’s get into this:
1.
Wovenfolk
Wovenfolk is a online vintage + secondhand shop run by Rubyellen Bratcher. I actually get most of my secondhand clothes from this shop. I am a big fan of the quality, pricing and uniqueness each piece brings. I’ve purchased shorts, sweaters, jackets and more!
I just placed an order on a cotton green jacket and I can’t wait to share how I style it. Wovenfolk’s collection is a mix of neutrals + colors which I love. I definitely recommend checking this shop out.
2.
Jade + Juniper Vintage
Jade + Juniper is a women owned minimalist candle + vintage online shop. It’s run by Jasmine Bouzaglou. I browse this shop often because this shop has great vintage t-shirt, home goods and jackets. All of her vintage goods are from the 60s – 80s and priced reasonably for the product. I really like these glass candlestick holders + this vintage Buick tee. How great would the tee look under a blazer? Check out the shop to view more!
3.
Roam Vintage
Roam Vintage is an online vintage shop, including home goods and clothes run by Natasha Zoë Garrett. Think cotton blouses, French chore coats and overdyed military buttons downs. Natasha chooses each item with love and a story behind it. To name a few, I really like this vintage Levis jean jacket + floral midi dress. And look at her accessories collection – such cool bags! I highly recommend this shop.
4.
Cabin Vintage
Cabin Vintage is a vintage + home goods online shop run by Kristine Claghorn. I gravitate to this shop for blazers, sweaters and coats. Kristine collects one of a kind pieces at a great price point. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like she’s restocked new items for quite some time, so I hope she will be updating her shop soon! However, when I look back at some of her sold goods, I love all of her sweater finds like this one and this winter wool coat. Luckily, I did find she’s currently selling tie-dyed bicycle shorts and homemade fragrance oils. Check it out!
5.
Tela Blanca
Last but not least, Tela Blanca is a sustainable hand-picked vintage clothing shop filled with timeless feminine silhouettes. You might recognize this IG page because she has a pretty big following. And I totally understand why, there are some great pieces in the shop. The pricing is a bit more on the higher side, but that’s expected when there is a higher demand. Here are a few of my favorite sweaters I’m eyeing right now. I love this one and this one. If you like them too, you’ll need to act fast!
Happy secondhand shopping!
xx
