“We have been dying since we got here and forgot to enjoy the view.”

2019 has truly been a great year, so I’m excited to spend time and reflect on what happened. Overall, we’ve been blessed with how 2019 treated us. Because even though there’s been some hard times, we had so many good things happen to us. I put together a video of my random video clips I took over the year and it made me realize all of the great things we did and the many things I got to accomplish.
Let’s get into it!
traveled to Ireland, San Francisco, wine country and Chicago (the farthest west I’d been to was PA!)
ran a 10K after not running that long of a distance in 6 years because of an injury
celebrated one year of marriage and got to witness so much love with our friends and family
eased my anxiety after having some panic attacks
started to really fall in love with interiors and the idea of a cozy conscious home
became more educated on zero waste living and my impacts on the planet
gained confidence with myself (this is ongoing work). I also think this comes with getting older and the beauty of not caring anymore of what people think.
really honed in on slow living and the advantages to it (happier, appreciative, relaxed)
and lastly, I grew The LD into a site I’m really proud of! At the beginning of the year, I did a re-design of the blog and I’m so happy with where it’s at now. The UI of the site is cleaner, modern and inline with the brand and feel of The LD. I also did my first partnership and photo shoot with a brand, became an ambassador for my favorite clean beauty company and I started to hear from readers on how much this space is helpful. This post and this post were my top viewed blog posts. You guys definitely like brand reviews (noted), so I’ll be doing more of those for 2020. I’m starting to find my voice with The LD which gives me the drive and excitement to create and share with everyone. I have so many good ideas for this year – here we go!
Thank you to those who read The LD – it means the world to me. I hope everyone has a happy and healthy 2020!
xx
